The internet is littered with all sorts of strange body kits designed to make normal cars stand out. Choices range from bad to very good, depending on your tastes. But this Porsche 911 kit based on what appears to be an original Fiat 500 might just be the weirdest we've ever seen.

Images of this car, which takes its general styling from a 996-generation Porsche 911 Turbo, popped up on the Facebook page about a week ago. From the profile, it seems to use the underpinnings from a first-generation Fiat 500 economy car. Not a bad choice considering the car it's trying to imitate is also rear-engined.

Other than that, it doesn't seem there's much info out there about the 996-bodied Fiat. Despite what you think of the design, it's hard to look away. Whoever put this kit together really put an effort in to replicate the least-loved 911, and it shows in the details. Even the body panels seem to line up well.

We probably wouldn't own it, but driving around in this car seems far from boring.
