Drunk driving is no joke. The impairment on motor skills degrades a person's ability to operate a car on the road—and as this video will show, even in a small parking lot circle.
Back in 1989, enlisted the help of experienced instructor Charlie Goodman to demonstrate the effect a bottle of whisky has on even the most skilled of drivers. It goes exactly as you'd expect.
At the beginning of the video, Goodman sets a sober lap, then begins to down a glass of hard liquor before every subsequent lap after that. As the session goes on, Goodman's inputs become less accurate, slower, and at points, downright wrong. By the end, he can barely maneuver around the cones without spinning the car in spectacular fashion.
Goodman eventually calls it quits, telling the camera he has "no control whatsoever." You don't say?
Watch for yourself to see just how much drinking really affects the driving experience. Also, don't drink and drive.
