If you've ever wondered how many donuts a Caterham 620R can do in 60 seconds, Caterham Cars now has an answer for you. The company enlisted Scottish Olympian cyclist and racing driver Chris Hoy to see just how many black circles he could lay down in a minute flat. It was 19. He made 19 circles.
Hoy used a 620R, Caterham's top-of-the-range offering in its Seven line of cars, with 310 horsepower from a supercharged 2.0-liter Ford Duratec four-cylinder engine, sending power through a six-speed sequential transmission to a limited-slip differential in the rear. A perfect setup for sustained sliding.
Caterham uploaded two videos to documenting the run; one with a bunch of B-roll and dub-step music, and another consisting of the actual record attempt. It's unclear whether this is an official Guinness World Record, but we still commend the team at Caterham for making cool things like this happen.
