Which Car Was Massively Improved by a Redesign?

All it took was a new generation to make some good cars truly great. Which one do you think fits this description most?

There are tons of decent cars out there that have been massively improved by a refresh or redesign from the factory. Which cars do you think were made best by a new version?

The first car that comes to mind for me is the new BMW M5. The previous F10-generation car seemed slightly cold and clinical in its design, but this new one is on-point. Sure, it's not available with a manual transmission, but the eight-speed auto is simply fantastic, especially considering it's not a dual-clutch. And thanks to the all-wheel drive system with a rear-wheel drive mode, there won't be any trouble having loads of tail-out fun.

Now we'd like to know: Which car do you think was improved most by a redesign? It doesn't have to be a new car that's currently on sale, either. It can be anything, as long as it's a car you think was made better by the factory. Let us know in the comments below.
