Alonso Will Drive McLaren's New Renault Powered Car First

First McLaren Test

This year, McLaren's new car, the MCL33, will have Renault power instead of the Honda power unit that has underperformed for the last few seasons. Fernando Alonso was the team member who was most critical of the engine's performance, particularly last season.

Now, to test the new Renault-powered car on the first trip on February 26th at F1 pre-season test in Barcelona. Will it outlast the 29 laps he got on day one in the Honda-powered car last year? We will see.

Mercedes Makes It Official

Yesterday, we heard that Mercedes was considering leaving the Detroit Auto Show in 2019. Now, Mercedes has confirmed that

Mercedes isn't the only manufacturer to leave the show recently, but it's the one with the biggest impact and most real estate on the show floor. Instead, Mercedes will likely have a bigger presence at CES in Las Vegas and do more of its own events to reveal cars.

Force Ok

NHRA racer Brittany Force had a scary crash this weekend at the NHRA Winternationals and had to remain over night in the hospital for observation. , still a little sore and with some lung bruising, but she didn't have any serious internal injuries, thankfully.
