Watching two cars face off on the Green Hell is always a good time. This latest head-to-head features two of our favorite Mazdas: an FD-generation RX-7 and an NA-generation MX-5 Miata. They're both heavily modified, and supremely quick.

The video, put together by 'Ring regulars on YouTube, shows in-cabin video of the two cars chasing each other down during a public tourist session on the Nurburgring Nordschleife, and it's a hoot to watch.

The RX-7's rotary engine has been beefed up with a bigger turbo, and complemented with some aerodynamic bits, a digital gauge cluster, a very tall shifter, and a roll cage. The Mazda has had its original inline-four removed in favor of—get this—a V-6 engine from a Chevy Camaro. It has a big wing, along with a wide-body kit.

No matter which car you like more, we have a feeling you'll have a fun time watching this.
