The annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance is easily one of the most fantastic concentrations of classic cars in the entire world. A Certain Inertia, an excellent 20-minute film from LetsMakeMedia, takes a look at the cars and, just as importantly, the people who make the event so special.
There's always a sense of occasion that comes with starting a journey at 5:30 am. When you're James Glickenhaus unloading your 1967 Ferrari 330 P3/4 from a transporter and firing up the 4.0-liter V12, that sense is heightened tenfold. Chasing the sun in a red Italian legend doesn't look like a bad way to spend the morning.
And that's just the first minute.
The remaining 19 minutes are filled with more amazing cars, the recognizable faces of famous drivers and owners (Magnus Walker doesn't exactly blend in with the rest of the crowd), and the sweet, sweet sound of classic race engines. You'll want to crank up the volume for this.
