If you're a regular reader, you know we're very into Lego here at RoadandTrack.com. Some of you may also remember that back in 2011, Lego won car enthusiasts' hearts when it released as part of its Creator series. It's still available.

Now it's time for the follow-up. In August, Lego will release a new Creator kit based on the iconic Mini Cooper Mk VII. To kick things off, the company made three launch videos in the style of the bombastic car commercials you're likely to see on Super Bowl Sunday. They gave one of them to us so we could share it with you, so here's your exclusive first look at the new Lego Creator Mini Cooper:

The kit itself is super cool and detail-laden. It's green with white hood stripes and a white roof. The latter is removable to give you a better view of the interior, which has a manual shifter and seatbacks that really tilt forward. The hood opens, revealing the engine details, and the boot contains a picnic basket and blanket. There's even a full spare under the cargo floor.

The 1077-piece kit (it's #10242) will set you back $100 come August 1 at and in Lego stores. The bricks, as always, will hurt like hell if you step on them while barefoot. Ask me how I know. Better yet, ask my kids ...
