Usually when people decide to add power to their car, it takes a myriad of other upgrades (brakes, tires, suspension, etc.) to make sure all that extra shove gets along with the chassis. But in the case of the new Chevy Camaro, the car is happy to accept an additional 100 horsepower without any sort of fuss, while making it a more enjoyable package.
This supercharged 2016 Camaro is the subject of latest One Take. The most prominent mod is a Vortech V3 centrifugal supercharger which, thanks to 6.5 pounds of boost, adds 100 horsepower and 100 lb.-ft. of torque to the 6.2-liter V8, resulting in a more than respectable 500 horsepower to the wheels.
Matt Farah finds that even without much other changes to the car, it performs fantastically on the road. Even better, the supercharger doesn't ruin the Camaro's linear power-band, or overwhelm the rest of the chassis.
