The Tesla Model 3 isn't advertised as a track car. There are no photos of it rounding the Karussell at the Nuburgring during development testing. There are no stats that would make you think it's good on track.
But one owner decided that perhaps the Model 3 would be fun on a track, so he took it to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to find out.
And while it doesn't appear to be the quickest car in the world, it does pass a Lotus Seven and make it nine laps with no apparent loss in performance. There are dozens of cars out there built for track duty that can't handle that much time without overheating the brakes or engine.
