There's a reason good car paint jobs costs so much money. A whole bunch of time and skill goes into making sure a car shines as evenly and brightly as it did when it left the factory, and there's no room for error. This video from walks us through the whole process of a high-quality paint job start to finish.
AMMO NYC founder Larry Kosilla commissioned a full concours-level restoration for his 964-generation Porsche 911 Carrera 4 track car, stripping down the car and removing rust from the body. Once the chassis was ready for painting, Kosilla decided on Beluga Black, a deep, water-rich color originally found on Bentleys.
What follows is an extremely detailed process of sanding, leveling, priming, baking, and spraying the chassis until finally, Kosilla's car is complete. There's dozens of different steps the paint shop goes through to make sure the metal is absolutely perfect.
Of course, there's a whole lot more to it than that, so take a look for yourself.
