With months of driving through nasty winter road salt and grime, your daily-driver could probably use a good wash. A normal rinse helps, but if you really want to get all that bad, corrosive stuff off your vehicle, this spring cleaning detail video is the perfect place to start.
Larry Kosilla of put together a lengthy, descriptive video detailing exactly how you should clean a car that's spent the last few months slushing through a Northern winter commute. Odds are, salt and other gross stuff has made it deep into the crevasses that a normal wash can't reach, which, if left unchecked, could cause rust to appear or worsen.
Kosilla's guide goes as far as lifting the car up on jacks and removing the wheels to make sure all of the suspension and underside sections are soaked properly. It may be a little much for some, but it's still worth a watch if you like keeping your car clean. Check it out for yourself.
