The 2020 Toyota Supra Already Gets Carbon-Fiber Aero Bits From TRD

There's no big MkIV-esque wing yet, but in Japan, TRD will sell you a carbon spoiler extension.

The 2020 Toyota Supra has only been with us for a month, but already, there are new carbon-fiber accessories for it. Toyota Racing Development (TRD) in Japan is showing off the Supra Performance Line concept, a Supra with tons of carbon-fiber aerodynamic components and a snazzy set of 19-inch forged wheels. Surely, it won't be the last Supra we see decked out like this.

According to a translation of the page for this Supra concept, all these aero components seem to be designed to smooth the airflow around the car, increasing stability. So they're not just for looks. There's a new splitter, side skirts, door inserts, rear spats, and a rear spoiler extension. It's not a full-on MkIV-style wing, but it looks good all the same.

The forged wheels are especially tasty, though is there any car that isn't made better by BBS-style multi-spokes like these?

A Toyota spokesperson told us that the company has "nothing to announce" regarding US availability for these TRD accessories, but we should expect factory aftermarket performance parts for the Supra at some point. TRD offers a number of performance parts for the 86 here, including lowering springs, thicker sway bars, forged wheels, an exhaust, and more. We wouldn't be surprised to see that sort of stuff available for the Supra.

And where the Japanese market is concerned, TRD isn't done with the Supra. At the bottom of the page for the Performance Line concept, TRD has a sketch (shown above) of a new Supra sporting a big wing like the GTE-spec GR Racing concept Toyota showed off last year.
