What's the Best Way to Own a V12 for Less Than $25,000?

Thanks to depreciation, lots of V12-powered luxury cars can be had for pennies on the dollar. Which would you buy?

Big luxury cars with V12 engines don't have a great reputation when it comes to holding their value. After a few years sitting on dealer lots and moving between owners, prices plummet, mainly thanks to the extraordinary maintenance costs associated with ownership. Which one would you buy?

I'd probably go for a BMW 8-Series. While trims like the ultra-rare 850CSi have shot up in value, early 850i models with the four-speed automatic transmission remain shockingly attainable. You can even find running, driving examples for under $10,000. Not only is it a great gateway into V12 ownership, but you also get one of the smoothest, best-looking GT cars of the 1990s.

Now we'd like to know: Which V12 do you think is best for under $25,000? It doesn't have to be something old and rare like the 8-Series, either—it could be anything, as long as it has a V12 and can be bought for under the $25,000 mark. Let us know in the comments below.
