Like mopeds, small classic city cars like the Peel P50 are comically easy to drive around tightly packed streets thanks to their microscopic size and fantastic maneuverability. But what if you don't like the boxy, closed cabin that cars like the P50 offer? Meet the Mopetta.
The Brütsch Mopetta was designed to take the best of moped riding and covert it into car form. The result is a three-wheeled egg-shaped micro-car with handlebars and a single center seat. Like a moped, there aren't many amenities. Things like a seatbelt, speedometer, tachometer, and fuel gauge are all missing.
But with a car as unique (and small) as this, creature comforts will be the last thing on your mind when you're driving. put together a nice video of a Mopetta and its owner driving throughout the city, and it seems to get attention everywhere.
Sure, it doesn't have any extra seats or storage space, and probably has a top speed in the low double-digits, but for a fun little personal transportation vehicle, the Mopetta might be the best out there.
