The internet is in love with off-road Porsche 911s. Seriously, people can't get enough of the things. Whether they be from the likes of Leh Keen or Patrick Long, there's no shortage of rear-engine dirt-surface sideways action to choose from. But other sports cars can be turned into fun off-roaders too. Take, for example, this lovely classic Toyota.
did a short video profile on Jon Rood and his car, a 1984 Celica GT modified for light off-roading and desert driving. Fitted with an off-road suspension, gravel tires, push bars, a roll cage, racing seats, and a roof rack, it has everything he needs to go adventuring. Sure, it might not be as pretty or prestigious as most of those Safari 911s, but it still looks awesome, and thanks to its rear-wheel drive layout, has no problem getting sideways.
Here, take a break from all those Porsche Instagram videos and watch for yourself.
