Old station wagons are cool, but do you know what's cooler? Old station wagons with weird face swaps. This one-off Chevy Malibu wagon has the front clip from a Monte Carlo some other worthy upgrades. It's , and we think it would make for one hell of a daily-driver. You should buy it.
Welcome to You Must Buy, our daily look at the cars you really should be buying instead of that boring commuter sedan.
According to the ad, this 1979 Malibu wagon has just over 82,000 miles on the odometer. In addition to the Monte Carlo look up front, the owner's added SS decals on the front doors, Bilstein shocks up front, and some sweet aftermarket Centerline wheels. Most importantly, they've swapped in a four-speed manual transmission in place of the factory slushbox.
Despite the new nose, the car looks factory fresh. We'd attribute that to the low miles and a caring owner. Even the engine bay, which houses an unspecified Chevy V8 block, looks clean. Sadly, there's no pictures of the interior included in the ad, and those tinted windows mean we aren't able to peak inside.
The car is currently with an asking price of $13,750. If you're looking for a daily-driver with some muscle car flair, we can't see a reason not to pick this thing up.
