There are several different iterations of the Porsche 917, but none were as brutally powerful as the 917/30 Spyder. Built to compete in the Can-Am championship, it used a twin-turbo version of Porsche's flat-12 engine that could produce a massive 1600 horsepower on nearly 40 psi of boost in qualifying trim.

It's hard to imagine a 1600-horsepower race car that sounds bad. This one fits the bill perfectly. Check it out here flying up the front straight at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca.
