This Field In North Carolina Is Full of Hidden American Vintage Gems

No, these cars weren't found in a barn. But they're still great finds.

We're big fans of barn finds here at Road & Track. But sadly, not all forgotten cars are lucky enough to be left in a barn or garage. Sometimes, they get left out in a field outside to slowly rot away. That's what happened to this vast collection of vintage American metal.

Tom Cotter, host of YouTube series, got word of this collection local to him in North Carolina, and just had to check it out. He discovers a swath of once-desirable domestics, including Thunderbirds, Mustangs, K5 Blazers, Impalas, Corvairs, and even a couple of Galaxie 500s. Additionally, there's a DeTomaso Pantera tucked under a covered roof structure.

All of the cars in this collection weren't worth much when the owner bought them, and now, they'd cost too much to restore. They sit in a limbo, wasting away into the earth. Check out the full video below, and be prepared to see some rusty stuff.
