Someone Paid an Outrageous $173,600 for This 11,000-Mile Supra Turbo

That makes it the most expensive publicly sold MkIV Supra ever.

If you thought that $121,000 Toyota Supra that sold on Bring a Trailer was a one-off, think again. Yet another low-mileage, perfectly mint Supra has just sold at auction, and it went for an absurd $173,600 including buyer's fees.

The car is a 1994 targa-roof model with all the right options checked. Offered by RM Sotheby's at Amelia Island last weekend, specced in black over tan interior, with the twin-turbo engine and six-speed manual transmission. It's done under 11,200 miles since delivery, and looks virtually new inside and out. According to RM, the car was sold new in Illinois, accumulating just 6000 miles before being imported to Switzerland in 2018.

This car was part of the "Youngtimer Collection," a massive singular collection of '80s and '90s cars that RM announced it would sell off throughout the year. The sale makes this Supra the most expensive ever sold at public auction, eclipsing the Bring a Trailer car mentioned above by over $50,000, despite having more miles on the odometer.

If these recent sales are any indication of where Mk. IV Supra values are going, the days of finding a good deal on Craigslist for one are well past us.
