Triumph was on its last legs in the late 1970s and early 1980s, but it still managed to make at least one cool car, the TR8. It's a V-8-powered version of the company's already lovely TR7, rocking the same wedge shape and nearly 50 percent more horsepower. Triumph didn't build many, so finding them for sale is tough. This one has never been driven on the road, and has just 90 miles on the odometer. It's .

Welcome to You Must Buy, our daily look at the cars you really should be buying instead of that boring commuter sedan.

The TR8 was virtually identical styling-wise to its four-cylinder sibling, using the same wedge shape, vented hood, interior, and even wheels. The main difference, of course, lies under the hood. In place of the TR7's 105-horsepower 2.0-liter engine sits a fuel-injected 3.5-liter V-8 making 148 horsepower. Power gets to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.

According to the seller, this car has moved through collections throughout its life, accumulating just 90 miles total since new. It's never been driven on the road, and looks to be in showroom-perfect condition. The one thing that gives away the car's true age is some light fading on the soft top's plastic windows. The only things that have been changed on the car are the battery and the ceramic-coated exhaust manifolds.

The car, one of just 415 Triumph sold in 1981, is currently with a high bid of $15,100 and reserve not met. The selling dealer also has the car with an asking price of $44,000. We'd recommend buying it, changing all of the fluids and tires, and taking it on a nice long road trip. Cars like these deserve to be driven, after all.
