The Porsche 910's 2.0-Liter Flat-Six Is a Gem

The 911 wasn't the only Porsche in the '60s to get a wonderful air-cooled six-cylinder sound.

Porsche is most famous for its rear-engine 911, but it's built its fair share of mid-engine sports cars as well. One of those cars is the 910, a race car that competed in the Targa Florio, 12 Hours of Sebring, Le Mans, and all sorts of other top-level events in the 1960s.

Like the 911, most versions of the 910 also used an air-cooled flat-six engine. This one, brought out to race at the Motor Legend Festival at Imola in Italy, sounds wonderful.
