Want to get started on a summer project? We have the perfect car for you. It's a 1976 Porsche 911 widebody shell that's been prepped for a restoration, . It comes complete with everything you'd need to make it road-worthy, minus a drivetrain. You should buy it.

Welcome to You Must Buy, our daily look at the cars you really should be buying instead of that boring commuter sedan.

According to seller, this car was turned into a RUF Yellowbird replica with a 911 Turbo flat-six drivetrain before it was disassembled. It sports wider OEM fenders from a 930, along with doors, a hood, and a rear decklid from a 964. The car was placed on a rotisserie before the frame was sand-blasted and primed for paint. Aside from some minor, fixable rust spots, everything looks to be in good condition. The old suspension is currently on the car, supported by a set of way-too-small steel wheels.

The seller says everything from the interior pieces, bumpers, exterior trim, windows, brakes, and the wiring harness with come with the car. They're also offering to sell the buyer a complete drivetrain from a 964 at an additional cost, in case you want to make things easier on yourself.

The car is with a Buy It Now price of $15,000 or best offer. That's a lot cheaper than most air-cooled 911s, though there's some assembly required with this one. The side is, you get to build it exactly how you'd like. Whether you're looking to create a vintage cruiser or an all-out time-attack car, this car will make a solid base.
