Before Ford gave us the wonderful F-150 Raptor, we got the F-150 Lightning. Geared more towards street performance than off-road prowess, it had a low-slung stance and made a wonderful noise.

The second-gen Lightning is powered by a 5.4-liter supercharged V-8 making 360 horsepower which, by 1999 standards, is a lot. Thanks to a sweet side-exit exhaust system, it had the rumble to match. Here, listen for yourself. And make sure to turn the volume all the way up.
