Planning a bank heist? There are lots of great cars for the job, but we think this one is certainly the best. It's a Mercedes-Benz 500E modified by Renntech, sporting upgraded suspension, a limited-slip differential, and most importantly, a 6.0-liter V-8 engine with nearly 400 horsepower. It's up for bidding right now on Bring a Trailer. You should buy it.

Welcome to You Must Buy, our daily look at the cars you really should be buying instead of that boring commuter sedan.

From the factory, the 500E was a beast. Based on the W124-generation E-Class, it was assembled by Porsche at the factory that once built the 959. A 326-horsepower 5.0-liter V-8, big brakes, a heavy duty suspension and a four-speed automatic were standard. The original owner of this 500E didn't think that was enough, so the car was sent off to German tuner Renntech to receive the company's "E60" upgrades. Displacement was increased to 6.0-liters at a cost of $19,000, while the suspension, air intake, and differential were all replaced with Renntech parts. In place of the factory wheels sit wider chrome five-spoke AMG Monoblocks wrapped in BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tires.

Though the odometer shows over 120,000 miles, the car's cosmetics are in near-perfect condition inside and out. It's clean, quick and unsuspicious—perfect for skirting the law and getting out of sight. We'd probably swap the stock wheels back on before pulling off any jobs, however. The less bling, the better.

The car is , with a high bid of $10,124 and seven days remaining. Better act fast before someone pulls the ultimate heist and buys it out from under you.
