The 1991 Geo Storm Hatchback Was an Affordable Shooting Brake

Most shooting brakes are expensive. The Geo Storm was not.

If you look at all of the shooting brakes ever built, most are from luxury brands, and thus, pretty expensive. If you want a new one, you'll have to fork up the cash for a Ferrari GTC4Lusso or an Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato—if you can even find one for sale, that is. Older shooting brakes, like the BMW Z3 and Volvo P1800, are now worth good money because of their desirability.

The Geo Storm hatchback, released in 1991, was a welcome alternative that acted as an affordable entry point into the body style. Though you couldn't get it in the sporty GSI trim, it was still a blast to drive, as evidenced by this Retro Review:

The Storm hatch was simple inside, and cheap to maintain. But it was still a shooting brake, which means tons of style and just as much practicality. It should be appreciated more.
