Dirt Rally 2.0 Looks Like the Stage Rally Video Game of Our Dreams

This looks like a hell of a time.

Back in 2015, the Dirt video game franchise dropped Dirt Rally, a game focused solely on stage rally courses offering a more technical approach compared to the typical game in the series. Now, Dirt Rally is back for its second iteration, and it looks as fun as ever.

The franchise recently released a few minutes of in-game footage featuring an RGT-spec Porsche 911 GT3 RS carving through a tarmac rally stage on a mountainside. It looks incredibly fun, and seems to deliver a similar experience to the original Dirt Rally. There's a co-driver that reads off notes as you progress, and icons that pop up on screen to point to where you're going. It's pretty intense—as it should be.

The original Dirt Rally featured 17 cars and 36 stages total, so we're betting there will be even more in 2.0. The franchise has confirmed in addition to rally stages, there will also be tracks from the FIA World Rallycross Championship, which is pretty sweet.

Dirt Rally 2.0 will be out February 2019. We can't wait to get our hands on a copy.
