You've already seen in their apocalyptic Australia duds, and now it's time to see where George Miller's head is at for the denizens of the wasteland that actually matter to us: the outlaw vehicles. Judging by the Mercedes-Benz W123-cabbed tanker truck, this movie might have a shot of being rad. After all, Miller's described it as one linear chase sequence, from beginning to end.
The bottom line is, you wouldn't want to try to make friends in the desert. You might end up tied to the front of a Deuce coupe, praying for death.
The cars and the psychotic, murderous gangs are really the reason to shell out for a movie ticket. There might be $12 worth of antisocial madness here. I think the fiery mutant Mercedes-Benz semi tanker is probably worth at least half the cost of admission, but it's too early to tell. After all, no one has ruled out a reappearance of the Pursuit Special—until Miller crushes my dreams, I'll hold out hope that a Falcon XB appears somewhere in this film.
