Porsche comes to Forza Horizon 2 with expansion pack

Forget the cool-yet-not-quite-Porsche-cool RUFs found in most Forza games. This $10 expansion back brings 10 real Porsches, including the 959 and 918 Spyder.

Porsche's appearances in the Forza Motorsport franchise have been few and far between, due to a licensing tie-up with Need for Speed publisher Electronic Arts (analyzed, fascinatingly, in this ). While that didn't prevent some older Forza games from carrying Porsche cars, thanks to a sub-licensing agreement, after Forza Motorsport 4 things got dodgy. Turn 10 Studios managed a , but since then Porsche has been absent from the series.

For Forza Horizon 2, though, things are different. Turn 10 has managed to license 10 Porsches to produce the Forza Horizon 2 Porsche Expansion, featuring the following cars (and one CUV):

  • 1970 Porsche 914/6*
  • 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3*
  • 1987 Porsche 959*
  • 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo*
  • 2003 Porsche Carrera GT*
  • 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0
  • 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S
  • 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder
  • 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo
  • 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS
