Now that the dust has settled on the whole Top Gear debacle, some more stories are starting to come out from behind the scenes. One of the more interesting tales to come from behind the scenes is that in addition to ITV, Netflix, and Amazon, there was a fourth competitor vying for the trio's services.

Other sources described the company's exploration as more of a flirtation, though one pointed to a recent sign that an escalation of interest is clear: Apple is said to have made an unprecedented bid to secure the stars of "Top Gear" when they exited their BBC series earlier this year. But Amazon ended up for Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond in July.
Would that have been a good move for the guys? It seems like we have our answer, because whatever Apple was offering, Amazon was more enticing. Still, interesting to see that Apple even considered hiring them.
