So, The Crew has already been released, so this isn't really a trailer, it's more of a launch promotion. But it's one of the strangest, and most compelling, I've ever seen, and all for one reason: In what game would a RUF-modified, turbocharged Cayman be fully-outfitted with offroad gear? This game, apparently.
The RUF in the launch trailer above is wearing a "Dirt" kit, a package of mods that can be applied to, it seems, any car in the game in order to tackle offroad challenges. The standard getup seems to involve a lift, rally lights, fender flares, and chunky tires. Check out the dirty Nissan 370Z in this screenshot, below.
The other interesting thing about The Crew is that it, like Forza Horizon, provides a huge open environment. But unlike the first Horizon, which was set in a large swath of generic Colorado, The Crew takes place on a compressed, summarized version of the entire United States. The whole thing.
If you want to see what The Crew looks like in action, especially since Ubisoft didn't give out copies of the game for review prior to release, going on showing plenty of gameplay (and a few issues).
The complete car list is available at . And yes, I realize there's a LaFerrari in the game. Just imagine that wearing a full rally kit: The entry price of this game might be worth it for that alone.
