Hatchbacks, fastbacks, SUVs and sedans—these aren't the first cars you'd think of as Nurburgring record-setters. But these high-performance haulers put down some serious lap times on the Nordschleife. If it's got four doors for passengers to get in and out of, and a kick-ass 'Ring time, it's on this list.
Back in 2013, Germany's Sport Auto magazine around the Nordschleife in 7:55. An impressive result, but wait until you see what the new one can do.
Volvo actually kept its S60 Polestar Nurburgring lap a secret for a year before revealing a time in 2017. With a 362-horsepower twin-charged four-cylinder engine, it was able to lay down a very fast 7:51.
For the second-generation Panamera, Porsche made sure to improve the car's looks. But it also made the Panamera much quicker on the track. In 2016, it managed to set a wild 7:38 time, making it the third-fastest sedan to ever lap the track.
