In the age-old battle between Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo, Forza has busted out the heavy artillery by introducing the Pontiac Aztek. That's right. Forza released the Aztek along with a handful of choice cars in the new Wednesday. This car pack coincides with the 2016 Daytona 24 Hour race, which starts Saturday.
The Aztek undoubtedly is the car you care about the most, but the rest of the cars in the Alpinestars Car Pack aren't too shabby, either: there's the Ganassi Racing Riley Daytona Prototype that won Daytona last year, a 1990 Mercury Cougar XR-7 race car, a 1967 Sunbeam Tiger, a 1992 Alfa Romeo Quadriofoglio Verde, a 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5, and a 1996 Subaru SVX.
The pack costs $6.99 to download, but cars can also be purchased individually.
Following its starring role in Breaking Bad, the much-maligned Aztek has been undergoing somewhat of a critical reevaluation. In hindsight, the car might have just been too far ahead of its time. Forza's inclusion of an Aztek—in the same drab color as Walter White's, naturally—is somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but it's not entirely ironic.
Even if you abhor the Aztek in real life, the opportunity to virtually race one around the Nürburgring is a brilliant idea that everyone can get behind. Check out the below trailer to see more of the Aztek—and all those other cars.
