It's been a tough go for fabled Italian design house Gruppo Bertone over the last decade, with high-piled arrears leading to brushes with bankruptcy in both 2007 and 2011. Now, is reporting that the coachbuilder has "ceased trading" due to its ongoing financial issues.
The Turin-based carrozzeria hasn't yet officially confirmed anything, but when we attempted to reach out to Bertone for comment, the person who answered was clearing out their desk. Not encouraging, and far from what we'd hoped to hear.
