What do you do when you're a former bicycle racer/IT guy living in Arizona, and some German dude starts telling you nice stories about the Autobahn, currywurst and old castles? You get curious, frankly.
Then, you move to Paris, Berlin and Brussels, only to learn both German and French good enough to end up in Switzerland. After realizing what a truly magical place the Alps is, the logical step forward is to buy a Land Rover Defender, the most capable off-roader this side of the G. (After putting 1200 miles into a lifted Defender 110 in Iceland in April, I'm certain about this.)
Once you discovered all the hidden cheese farms on the opposite side of the mountain, it's time to show it to others too. Driving Defenders for a living as a guide in one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
If that sounds like a dream, you're not alone.
