With only 106 examples ever produced, the McLaren F1 is a incredibly rare and tremendously valuable car regardless of which version it is. But some F1s are a bit more rare than others. Take the F1 LM, for example. Only six were ever made, one of which was a development car, making the LM one of the rarest F1s McLaren ever built.
Sold in honor of the five F1 GTRs that competed in 1995's 24 Hours of LeMans, the F1 LM is lighter than the regular car and more powerful, too—packing a de-restricted, 680-horsepower version of the F1 GTR's engine. The race-inspired aero kit gave the F1 LM much better handling, but the added drag reduced the car's top speed.
But while you can find plenty of videos showing off the McLaren F1 LM's incredible performance, the one below takes a different approach. It's a celebration of all the little details that add up to make this car so special. Sometimes it's nice to just sit back and take a much closer look.
