FCA went to SEMA bringing some very good news:
Mopar's geniuses came up with some kits retailing for $1795, which allow you to pair modern 5.7 or 6.4-liter HEMI engines with model year 1975 or earlier vehicles. What's more, they now have all the parts available to build a new car around those engines in case you're missing a few bits here and there.
The engine kits include a power distribution center, a powertrain control module (PCM), engine and chassis wiring harnesses, an accelerator pedal, O2 sensors, ground jumper, charge air temperature sensor and in-depth information sheets on installation. You can also opt for additional accessories such as power steering units or exhaust manifolds.
And in case your project car needs a bit more than a new engine, Mopar also announced that their is ready for those orders, packed with 9000 parts and all the info you might need in PDF format. Emblems, sheet metal, grilles, carpets, spoilers, bumpers, lenses, decals, radiators, gauges and steering wheels...you name it!
Those Chargers, Challengers and 'Cudas just became immortal.
