This Badass 1964 Beetle Does Priceless Wheelies

The fact that Joel Mohr managed to do a proper wheelie in front of the Hoonigan HQ isn't really all that important. But his Bug is a labor of love.

Many have tried, and many have failed. The Donut Garage's "strip" is simply not long enough to unleash everything a 1000+ horsepower drag car has to offer. But that's exactly where the rear-engined Bug comes in at 1250 lbs, partly thanks to its fiberglass nose.

'Quik'n Dirty' is an eleven second wheelie champ with a stroked 2442 cc flat-four. How does one end up having such a high displacement Beetle engine? By drilling and drilling that magnesium engine case, knowing when to stop, apparently. With a 13:1 compression ratio and a strict race gas diet, this gutted stock car is pleasantly violent, with a step header and a slightly flattened Megs trumpet adding to the theater.
