Lewis Hamilton contemplates life after Formula 1
, World Champion Lewis Hamilton explains how much he's been yearning for a normal, everyday life, free of the rigors of the Formula 1 season.
"I've currently got another year with the team and I do want to continue. But, I'm at that point where there's that question," Hamilton said.
The champion explained that a recent death in his family has put things in perspective—making him realize how many things he wants to do with his life, and how much of that has been put on hold for Formula 1.
"My auntie died from cancer and on her last day she said, 'I've worked every day with the plan of stopping one day and doing all these different things, and then I ran out of time.' So I'm battling with that in my mind," he said.
