Getting into stage rally can be tough. You need a whole lot of money and dedication to go rallying, and a whole lot more if you want to be competitive. That being said, there's a whole lot of cars out there perfect for people looking to get into the sport, and have fun while doing it.

My pick? The Ford Fiesta. Specifically, a base, naturally aspirated hatchback with a manual transmission. Team O'Neil recommends a Fiesta as the car to start out rallying thanks to its cheapness and huge parts availability. Plus, the Fiesta platform is perfect for learning the basics of driving fast off pavement.

Now we'd like to know: Which car do you think is best for a beginner looking to rally? It doesn't have to be new, or extremely cheap. It just has to make sense on a rally stage for a beginner. Let us know in the comments below.
