Dodge, in partnership with the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving, has announced a newly formed drag racing course available for owners of Dodge SRT-branded vehicles as well as the public. It's a one-day course free for Demon owners, allowing participants to learn the fundamentals of drag racing while behind the wheel of the SRT Demon, SRT Hellcat, Hellcat Widebody, and SRT 392.
The day-long course consists of two hours of classroom time where students learn the basics of quarter-mile racing. Once that's done, the students get 22 individual single-lane runs on the strip, all with a professional Bondurant instructor sitting shotgun. Participants are expected to become familiar with concepts such as staging, reaction time, signals, safety checks, and of course, a proper launch.
If you own a new SRT car that isn't a Demon, you have the option to upgrade your one-day road course school (included with every new SRT car already) to a two-day school for $999—one road course day, and one drag race day. If you don't own an SRT car, don't worry—the school is open to the public for an entry fee of $1999.
Pre-registration for the one-day Bondurant drag racing school opens today, and courses begin March 9th. Challenger Demon and other SRT owners can schedule their course through Dodge's concierge service line at 800-998-1110. All others can register .
