Legendary driver Stirling Moss hasn't shied away from the spotlight in recent years. He's made dozens of appearances at motorsport and other car-related events, meeting and inspiring fans across the world. I remember seeing him at Lime Rock Park's Historic Festival during my visit in 2015, and it was a wonderful experience.
But thanks to health concerns, we'll be seeing less of Moss in 2018. The 88-year old announced he will retire from the public eye following an extended 134-day hospital stay thanks to a severe chest infection he contracted while visiting Singapore in 2016. According to , he will instead spend time resting and being with his family.
Although Moss never won an F1 championship, he's considered to be one of the greatest drivers of all time. He's won 16 F1 races, as well as the 12 Hours of Sebring and the Mille Miglia.
