Remember the Hellcat-engined Prius we saw at SEMA last year we desperately wanted to see on the move? Well, we finally got our wish at this year's Woodward Dream Cruise drag racing event. Best of all, we got to see it face off against none other than the Challenger SRT Demon—and win.

If you're unfamiliar with this Prius, here's a little refresher. Everything underneath the body is brand new, with a custom double frame-rail chassis holding all the parts together. The engine is a Hellcat crate motor, upgraded with a 4.5-liter Whipple supercharger. It sends 1000 horsepower to the rear wheels via a Ford nine-inch rear end.

The builders, American Racing Headers of Long Island, New York, brought the car to Woodward for the drag racing event held there last week, and went toe to toe with a Demon and beat it handily in the 1/8th mile. Luckily, the run was caught on video for us all to enjoy. Check it out for yourself.
