If you haven't already heard, the Goodwood Revival happened last weekend, and it featured some of the best racing we've seen all year. This extraordinary run by British Touring Car driver Sam Tordoff in a Porsche 356 during the Fordwater Trophy is definitely one of the highlights.
Things don't start out well for Tordoff. He sits on pole for the start, but stalls at the line, failing to get the car restarted before everyone else in the field gets by. Luckily, he managed not to get hit by any of the other classics racing, and eventually gets underway.
What follows is an array of nail-biting high-speed passes with Tordoff carving through the field of Ferraris, Jaguars, and Aston Martins. Somehow, he manages to claw his way back up to second place, which is pretty astonishing considering his lackluster start.
Fortunately, Tordoff had a camera recording his entire race from inside the car, so we can watch all the action unfold for ourselves. Check out the heroic drive right here.
