Watching WRC Is Like Watching Racing In Fast-Forward

There's no way these cars can possibly be going this fast. And yet...

In case you haven't already heard, the 2019 World Rally Championship season kicked off last weekend in Monte Carlo. It was full of action and tons of close calls. As always, the footage looks absolutely absurd.

The Methka YouTube channel was on the sidelines this year as some of rally's finest drivers and fastest cars hit the icy stages of the WRC's opening event. Changing surfaces and challenging stage roads pushed drivers to the absolute limit, and it certainly shows. The cars are going by so quickly, it looks as if the footage is speed up to 1.5-times normal speed.

This is truly the definition of maximum attack.

Sebastien Ogier ended up taking the win overall, with Thierry Neuville and Ott Tanak joining in on the podium closely behind. If WRC is as action-packed as this year's Monte Carlo, we can't wait to see it unfold.
