We've seen some pretty capable Mitsubishi Evos recently, but this one might have them all beat. It's a stripped out 700--horsepower missile built for hillclimb events in Europe, and looks incredibly quick.
Built and driven by Ronnie Bratschi, this eighth-generation Evo weighs just 2200 pounds. The fenders have been extended, and the wing seems to have doubled in size. It sounds great, and shoots out a not-insignificant amount of black smoke on acceleration. Remember, this little four-banger is pushing out as much horsepower as a Ferrari 488 Pista.
The car seems to shoot out of corners quicker than anything else. That all-wheel drive system and some sticky tires have a lot to do with that. Check out the full video below, and make sure to turn the volume up.
