Here's some good news for all the Nurburgring fans out there: The track is opening one weekend earlier than planned this year due to warm temperatures, which means this Sunday is your first chance to hit the Nordschleife in 2018.
The track, which planned on opening gates for tourist drives on March 18th, moved up its first event of the year due to unseasonably warm weather, according to Nurburgring news site . The track announced the change on Facebook earlier today.
Bridge to Gantry reports that construction to install new pavement and additional fencing could still be present at some parts of the track once drivers arrive on Sunday, meaning drivers won't be able to go flat-out on the entire Nordschleife circuit just yet.
All I'm wondering is if I can book a flight to Frankfurt in time.
