The 2018 Formula One season starts this weekend, so why not learn Sunday's track layout with always-smiling Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo?
The official enlisted the Red Bull driver to guide us through a virtual-reality lap of Albert Park, home of F1 in Melbourne for the opening round of the 2018 season. The video gives us a driver's view from the virtual cockpit, as well as a look at the pedal box and steering wheel.
Albert Park might look like a pretty straightforward track from your TV screen, but as Ricciardo points out, there are a ton of small details at every corner that drivers have to worry about. Any overzealous tap of a curb can upset the car and cost precious time, while braking points can be hard to judge. At one point during the video, he even manages to put two wheels off.
Watch for yourself and learn the track ahead of this weekend's season opener.
