We know the famed Chevrolet Corvette team has had great success in the because they field excellent race cars and equally impressive drivers.
But that's the work during the actual 24 hours on the track, while the team that builds, preps and supports the `Vettes been has been getting ready for the classic race for a year.
Shortly after the champagne stops spraying, the team is already analyzing what went right and what didn't, thinking about the next Le Mans 24. At their headquarters in New Hudson, Michigan, just outside Detroit, they are planning whatever it takes to win again in France. Then there is the building of the cars, planning for the trip overseas, shipping the truck loads of parts and pieces, flying the cars and crew to England, then trucking to France to race some 3000 miles in just 24 hours.
