World Touring Car Championship to the U.S.A.

One of the best-kept secrets since Where's Waldo is that the FIA's will be at Sonoma Raceway on the September 21-23 weekend.

If you're not familiar with the cars, just look down the street and find a Chevrolet Cruze, BMW 3 Series or Ford Focus. They are among the dominant cars, though the SEAT Leons can be tough and there's even a Lada in this series. Chevrolet is the top dog, currently leading the manufacturer's championship with 673 points versus BMW's 430.

A few race fans might know some of the name drivers, like Alain Menu from Switzerland or the current champion, Frenchman , but who cares? The racing is excellent.

This is truly a world series, having already raced, among other venues, in England, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Brazil and Hungary. After the U.S.A. the entourage will move on to Japan, China and Macau.
